Hi everybody,
Well, this is my last night here at the Hope Lodge in Worcester.  This week has really been a roller coaster ride.  Lana said the same thing and it is so true.
Tami did not feel good at all yesterday but today she said she felt about 80% better. She walked around a lot today and even took off by herself once while I was talking to Judy.  When I walked with her she even picked up the pace a little.
Tami went in for her procedure this morning to see if her bladder had any more holes.  Tami said they really couldn't even finish the test because they could see on the moving xray that the liquid dye was leaking out into the body cavity.  That was really a big disappointment for both of us.  Dr. Lambert said she didn't really want to make a decision as to what course to take until she talked to the Urologist.
Later in the day she came back to tell us that her boss who is the Chief of Staff over the oncology Dept. recommended that we do nothing because he believes the bladder will just heal itself in time. He also thought another surgery would be detrimental for her. Later Dr. Blute called Dr. Lambert and she asked his opinion without telling him what her boss had said. He said exactly the same thing and Dr. Lambert totally agreed.  Dr. Lambert told us that Dr. Blute is the best there is and she really trusts him and her boss also.  His name escapes me but I know Tami will remember it.
Anyway, Dr. Lamber seems to think Tami will be released from the hospital (UMass Memorial) on Monday. Abby will be here tomorrow before I leave so she will be able to help her out this coming week. We know Tami will need to stay at the Hope Lodge for at least two more weeks.  After that they will give her the same test again to make sure her bladder has healed before making any more decisions.  We can only HOPE for good news.
It has been wonderful being able to help my sister this past week.  She is truly a special lady and I wish her the very best because she really deserves it. I believe it's all in the Lords hands at this point.  I just have faith that he knows what's best for her and I'll trust in Him.
Again, please keep her in your prayers and thanks for caring enough to read our sister's blog.
