Kim's perspective on Tami's day - Sunday, 7/1.

Good morning or good evening all,

It a been a huge turn around day for Tami,as you all saw and read about in Mattie's post. I'm on the nightshift and all is well up to this point.  The nurse came in about an hour ago and gave Tam her pain medication and  a sleeping aid. Tami  is still awake. She is resting quietly . ICU is not a peaceful atmosphere for sure .
Tami had several firsts today: chair bath, sat up in the chair for extended times, walked around the nurse's station, clear liquids, and best of all a nice BM.
As a nurse that makes me happy because constipation can become a huge complication. Especially, after this type of surgery. It's a good sign the body is healing and beginning to to some normalcy . Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Pray that she has a peaceful healing night.
Love Kim
